Appointments & Salon Experience

Do you offer personalized hair care sessions?

Yes. Every appointment at Her Mane Therapy is a one-on-one Therapy Session designed around your hair health, lifestyle, and goals. We reserve dedicated time exclusively for you.

Should I arrive early for my appointment?

Yes.

For New Clients: Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to allow time to locate the suite and begin your consultation on time.

For Existing Clients: Please arrive on time, accounting for DFW traffic. Late arrivals may shorten or reschedule your session.

Can I bring guests or children with me?

To maintain a calm, therapeutic environment, please arrive alone. Our suite is reserved exclusively for the stylist and the scheduled client.

How should I prepare my hair before my appointment?

Your hair must be:

  • Fully detangled
  • Free of product buildup
  • Completely taken down from any previous style
  • Able to be easily combed through

This is required for all services.

What if my hair is not properly prepared?

If detangling or takedown is required upon arrival:

  • A Detangling/Takedown Fee starting at $30 will be added
  • This applies to both new and existing clients

Proper prep ensures your session runs smoothly and protects the health of your hair.

Can I bring my own hair products?

No. Our services are therapy-based and use professional-grade, prescribed products only. Personal products are not permitted unless they have been explicitly prescribed by a dermatologist and approved in advance.

Are gratuities included?

Yes. For your convenience, gratuity is included in auto-pay. You may opt out if you prefer.

What if I’m feeling sick?

Please reschedule immediately if you experience:

  • Fever
  • Cold or flu symptoms
  • Any illness symptoms

To waive rescheduling fees, changes must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe clinic environment.

Is parking available?

Where to Park:

Exterior: Complimentary 2-hour parking is available around the perimeter of the building.


Garage: Free parking is also available inside the garage adjacent to the suite.

What payment options do you offer?

We are a cashless business. We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.


Booking: A valid card on file is required to secure your appointment.

Flexible Financing: We offer Buy Now, Pay Later options through Klarna, Afterpay, and Affirm at checkout.


Note: We highly suggest confirming your account status and available spending limits with your preferred provider prior to your appointment to ensure a smooth checkout.

Do you recommend consultations?

Yes. Consultations are highly recommended, especially for new clients or anyone who has not received consistent professional hair care.

A consultation allows us to:

  • Understand your hair history, lifestyle, and goals
  • Assess the health of your hair and scalp
  • Identify any challenges such as breakage, dryness, shedding, or scalp concerns
  • Create a realistic, personalized hair care plan

This helps ensure the services you book are appropriate and that expectations are clear before your appointment.

Why is a consultation important if I haven’t had professional hair care?

If you’ve been managing your hair on your own or switching between styles, products, or DIY routines, a consultation helps us reset and establish a healthy foundation.

Not all hair responds the same way, and past routines can impact:

  • Heat tolerance
  • Moisture balance
  • Breakage and shedding patterns
  • Style longevity

A consultation helps us avoid unnecessary damage and guide you toward long-term results, not just a temporary style.

What happens during a consultation?

During your consultation, we will:

  • Discuss your hair history and previous services
  • Evaluate your scalp and strand health
  • Talk through your goals, maintenance expectations, and lifestyle
  • Recommend services, treatments, and a maintenance schedule

  • Answer questions and establish a plan that fits you

Salon Liability & Client Waiver

Is a liability waiver required?

Yes. All clients are required to complete a Salon Liability & Consent Waiver prior to receiving services.

This waiver helps protect both you and the salon by confirming:

  • You understand the nature of the services being provided

  • You have disclosed your hair and scalp history to the best of your knowledge

  • You acknowledge the risks associated with chemical, heat, or extension services

  • You consent to services performed based on professional recommendations

Services cannot be performed without a completed waiver.

Why is the waiver important?

Hair care is not one-size-fits-all. Factors such as previous chemical services, heat damage, medical conditions, medications, or home care routines can affect results.

The waiver ensures:

  • Transparency between client and stylist

  • Clear expectations for outcomes and maintenance

  • Protection if results vary due to prior hair history or external factors

This allows us to deliver services safely, professionally, and ethically.

  • Showcase transformations, when permitted

Photos are taken respectfully and professionally

Will my photos be shared publicly?

Photos may be used for educational or promotional purposes only with your consent, which is included in the salon waiver.

We do not tag clients or share identifying information unless explicitly approved. If you prefer your photos be used strictly for internal tracking, you may opt out at any time.
